About Canada Momentum

Canada publishes high-quality economic data across GDP, productivity, trade, investment, and research intensity.

These series are widely tracked in isolation. What is less common is a single structural signal that asks a simple question:

Canada Momentum was built to construct that instrument.

It is not designed to predict the next quarter. It is designed to observe structural shifts as they develop.

"Are the foundations of the Canadian economy accelerating or decelerating relative to their own long-run trend?"

Canada Momentum was created by Mark Tempest, a Canadian technologist with more than twenty years of experience building digital platforms and advising global brands on digital strategy and performance.

Throughout his career, Mark has focused on designing systems that turn complex data into clear, usable signals. Canada Momentum applies that same discipline to public macroeconomic data.

This is an independent project, developed outside of any institutional affiliation.
